We begin with a no-cost introduction to help define the best solutions for your family. During this half hour free consultation, we will demystify the renovation process and explain the sequence of the process and common pitfalls you might expect during your renovation.

Four step process

Our four-step process for a successful renovation begins with a pre-design stage to assess your want list; a design stage with a designer; and final designs or revisions involving both the designer and contractor to ensure we meet all your needs. You also receive a realistic estimate of the budget, which is yours to keep. The fourth step uses certified project management tools to keep your project on budget and schedule. Material Selection

Investing time and effect in researched materials, supplies and design options in the beginning stage benefits you with a better understanding of where your money is spent, a more realistic budget, along with more control of excessive changes in the construction stage that will produce cost overruns and schedule delays.

We offer a block of time to tutor the homeowner about the renovation and construction process or mediate a dispute resolution between the homeowner and contractor.

Project Management Tools

Renovation Consultants will produce a scope of work detailing all materials and responsibilities to be carried out by the contractor to ensure all parties have the same clear outcome. A scope of work ensure estimates from contractors are comparing "apples to apples' and should be listed in your contract.  Renovation Consultants will facilitate, document and send emails after all meetings, including the initial walkthrough to review specific details and discuss the project steps that will take place.  Renovation Consultants will be present for on-site inspections, document change orders, and ensure all communication tools are in place to respond quickly to any issues or problems that might arise.

At the end of the project, we conduct a walkthrough with the contractor and you and create a punch list to ensure all documented work is completed, the project meets  industry standards and you are 100% satisfied before your final payment.
